The Apple Vision Pro, Apple’s mixed reality headset, will welcome Disney+ from the first day of its marketing in a partnership that promises to be ambitious to say the least.
The year in which the MWC was marked by the presentation of many connected glasses, Apple therefore presented its first mixed reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro. A device that seems to be in this product category what the iPhone was in its time, at least technologically.
To push its mixed reality headset further, Apple has shown many very concrete uses, focused on video games and SVoD. One of the biggest platforms in the industry was invited to the party, Disney+.
A partnership that goes beyond SVoD
The big-eared SVoD platform has promised, it will be available from the first day of marketing of the Vision Pro.
Many experiences were presented. A basketball game right on his coffee table, a sea turtle swimming in the living room, Mickey coming out of the wall to interact… the possibilities seem plentiful.
Some uses are even closer to playing in mixed reality than simply watching a film or series. Two universes should benefit from it: the series The Mandalorian of Star Wars as well as the series What if…? from Marvel Studios. In the first case, we were able to see the user of the Vision Pro leaving a cockpit in subjective view.
In the second case, a character from the Marvel universe spoke directly to the player, with a rather impressive interaction with his arms. Indeed, the helmet seems capable, for example, of adding a bracelet around the arm of the player, all in his living room in the middle of a decor inspired by Marvel. Impressive.
