The choice of your class is very important in Diablo IV, but often we tend to forget another choice which is just as important, that of your build! In this article, we will focus more particularly on the Sorcerer and his Ice Shards/Freeze archetype and his ability to pex very quickly up to level 50.
Gameplay
If you have already played a Diablo licensed game before Diablo IV, you automatically know what we are going to talk about with the Frost Sorcerer who is one of the most famous builds in the history of the license. Moreover, it is part of our list of the best builds to start alongside the one called Fire Sorcerer.

Frostbolt is an ability that will not only allow you to do damage, but also frost your enemies. By dint of shooting at them, you will even outright freeze them, which triggers combos that will do damage.Ice Shard is one of those spells that is going to be interesting on frozen enemies since it will not only deal more damage, but when you reach level 15 and enchant it, this skill will automatically cast on frozen enemies!Teleport is a spell that does some damage, but that’s not necessarily how it’s going to be used. Indeed, a bad placement with a wizard can quickly be punished. Teleport then offers you the possibility of repositioning yourself without too much trouble.Ice Armor has more of a defensive focus than an offensive one giving you damage reduction. The other interesting point of this spell is that part of the damage you will inflict during its activation will be added to the barrier. Frost Nova is generally an AoE of frost which will allow you to freeze enemies around you for a few seconds. Again, with spells like the Ice Shard, you will be able to inflict great damage. Ice Blades is a spell that will, as its name suggests, make ice swords appear for six seconds. In addition to the damage that these are capable of inflicting, what will be interesting is that when they hit enemies, they have a 30% chance of making them vulnerable!

But then, with this build, what are the traits we are going to look for in priority? Well, of course it’s intelligence. Except that traits like +1 to ice damage or even a reduction in recharge times will also be very effective.
Finally, damage to vulnerable enemies can be a very good choice. Finally, before leaving us, let’s see together which gems you should equip on this build according to the different slots that will be given to you in game:
