The Polish company CD Projekt not so long ago published its financial report for investors, from which one fact will certainly be of interest to the general public: there are plans to launch pre-production of the second part of Cyberpunk 2077 for 2024.
On the one hand, this can actually be considered an announcement of the upcoming development of the sequel, on the other hand, it practically guarantees that there is still a lot of time before the release of the second part. It is unlikely that the production of new items will be as protracted as it was with the original, but games of this magnitude are still being created one way or another for years.
So far, not much is known about the future sequel to Cyberpunk 2077. Previously, it was reported by the quest director of the original game, Pavel Sasko, who shared that he would switch to the development of the game after he completed work on the addition to the first part of Phantom Liberty.
It is also already known that the future game will be created in the new office of CD Projekt RED, which is based in the American city of Boston. The team will include both key developers of the original Cyberpunk 2077, as well as newcomers, whom the former will mentor. It is also planned to use studio assistants from Warsaw and Vancouver in the production.
