Recently there has been speculation as to whether Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will have a co-op mode. The developers of Insomniac Games recently denied this, because the idea of hunting villains together did not exist from the start. That comes from an interview by the creative director with the Washington Post.
As is well known, in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 you swing through New York in both Peter Parker’s spandex suit and Miles Morales’ skin. Accordingly, many fans probably wanted a co-op mode, which recently led to numerous speculations about the multiplayer functionality of the superhero adventure. Developer Insomniac Games was forced to take a stand after the rumors and make it clear: Spider-Man 2 will not have a co-op mode.

If that’s why you’re broken, then we don’t have any other better news. Because Insomniac Games had never planned to give Spider-Man 2 a co-op mode. This was clear to the entire team from day one of development. This emerges from an interview with the Washington Post by creative director Bryan Intihar.
However, the reasons for this are quite understandable. As Intihar explains, “There are tons of great co-op games out there, but we wanted to tell the experience of two spider heroes. You have to make some important decisions, both design and technical, when you want to create a co-op title.”
Disappointing, but understandable. Because if Insomniac Games had made compromises with the graphics or the freedom offered, then in our opinion Spider-Man 2 would definitely suffer. how do you see it? Are you already hoping for the PC version and the associated multiplayer mods or are you a lonely spider anyway?
