Ukrainian tennis player Lesya Tsurenko withdrew from the 2023 Roland Garros 1/8 final match against the top seed Good Sventek from Poland. The match ended in the first game with the score 1:5.
In the first game, Lesya immediately gave up two games on her serve, got the score 0:4, then took a medical timeout (at 1:4) and after a game decided to stop the fight ahead of schedule. The match lasted only 29 minutes.
There is no official information about the reasons for the withdrawal yet, but the Ukrainian tennis player had her blood pressure measured during a medical timeout.
It seems that Lesya also had breathing problems and clearly felt unwell.
