As community manager Kevin Johnson announced via Twitter, the developers at DICE are far from finished with the multiplayer shooter “Battlefield 2042”. According to this, the sixth season is already being worked on.
The fifth season of the multiplayer shooter “Battlefield 2042” starts today, Wednesday, under the name “New Dawn”, which brings with it a bunch of new content.
Appropriately, community manager Kevin Johnson spoke up via Twitter and pointed out that despite all the setbacks, DICE is far from finished with “Battlefield 2042”. Furthermore, the community manager took the opportunity to confirm the ongoing work on the next and thus sixth season.
Since the focus is on “New Dawn” for the time being, concrete details on the sixth season are still a long way off.
“We are not finished yet. The sixth season is on the way. More details will follow at a later date,” Johnson said. “Right now the focus is on delivering another solid season with Season 5: New Dawn.”
What content awaits in Season 5?
One of the most interesting new content coming to Battlefield 2042 with Season 5 is the map called Recaptured. The new map takes you to the Czech Republic and offers firefights in an abandoned factory that has largely been reclaimed by nature.
In the further course of the fifth season, a revised version of “Hourglass” will also follow, which according to the developer will be more compact than the original and offer more cover options. New weapons are of course also offered in the course of the current season.
Also included are the “XCE Bar Bolt Action Rifle”, the “GEW-46 Assault Rifle” and the “BFP.50” based on the legendary Desert Eagle. We have all the other details about the offered or planned content of the “New Dawn” season here summarized for you.
