A new trailer was also presented at the opening event of Summer Game Fest 2023 for “Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden”, the new role-playing game from Don’t Nod. In addition to fresh impressions, this also provided us with a release period.
Unfortunately, after the official announcement of “Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden” at the end of last year, it quickly became quite quiet around the new work of the “Life is Strange” and “Twin Mirror” makers of Don’t Nod.
Only at yesterday’s opening event for this year’s Summer Game Fest did the studio, in cooperation with the publisher Focus Entertainment, use the stage to present us a new trailer for “Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden”. This gives us impressions of the game world and briefly goes into the history of the role-playing game.
In addition, the release period of the new Don’t Nod project will be limited in the course of the trailer. Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is slated for a late 2023 release.
The tragic fate of the banisher Antea
In the latest work of the “Twin Mirror” makers, our path leads to the New Eden of the year 1695. In the role of the two banishers Antea Duarte and Red Mac Raith, according to the developer, we are faced with the task of protecting people from ghosts and other supernatural phenomena to protect.
One fateful day, however, Antea was mortally wounded and as a result turned into one of the spirits she actually despises so much. In the wilds of North America, you now search for a way to lift the curse and save Antea. According to the developers of Don’t Nod, we can not only look forward to an emotional story and an atmospheric game world in “Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden”.
In addition, we are given the opportunity to influence the further course of history with our decisions and actions. In combat, you draw on Antea’s and Red’s abilities, respectively, and use a combination of physical weapons, magic, and spiritual skills.
