The now fourth PS2Dancing Stage with the name tag Max breaks with a long-standing tradition: the ‘three songs in a row’ principle adopted from arcade machines has been overturned, instead the extensive dance master mode is in the foreground for soloists. In it, you work your way through a task tree in which you have to achieve certain conditions for each song, such as a minimum number of points or stepping accuracy. As a reward, there are more missions and points that you exchange in the shop for extras such as alternative outfits for the virtual dancers or new songs.
In the beginning you only have access to the 20 licensed titles, around 50 more dance floor stomps have to be earned first.
