Not only the remake of “Persona 3” is probably in the starting blocks, but also a new strategy game for “Persona 5”. Atlus himself confirmed the title.
“Persona 5” already has a lot of spin-offs. The game has been given new titles with “Persona 5 Royal” and “Persona 5 Strikers” and there is no end in sight so far.
Atlus not only unveiled a remake of Persona 3, but also Persona 5 Tactica. The game is actually only supposed to be shown as part of the upcoming Xbox Showcase, but the associated trailer has already landed on social media in advance.

According to the leak, “Persona 5 Tactica” will be released on November 17, 2023. So far, only PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S have been confirmed as platforms. However, it’s likely that PS4 and PS5 versions will follow, as the other installments in the Persona series have also been released for PlayStation platforms. The game will appear on Xbox Game Pass when it is released.
The title will be a strategy game in which the battlefield is set up similar to “XCOM” or “Fire Emblem”. We move with Joker and the other members of the Phantom Thieves across a battlefield divided into boxes, defeating different opponents in turn-based battles.

In the video you can see how the characters can hide behind obstacles to avoid being hit. In addition, Phantom Thieves can choose to use their Persona’s abilities or the weapon they carry on their body.

Another title that Atlus leaked too soon is „Persona 3 Reload“. The remake is scheduled for release in early 2024. However, the technical and playful improvements are not really apparent from the trailer.
For better or for worse, we’ll have to wait until the Xbox Showcase and see whether new information will follow alongside the two trailers.
