The first major June game show took place – Summer Game Fest, within which a lot of interesting things were presented. The show announced several major projects (John Carpenter’s Toxic Command, Sonic Superstars, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown), announced the release dates of several games for the Game Pass subscription, and even presented an Xbox and Porsche collaboration.
Microsoft Gaming CEO Phil Spencer took to social media to comment on the past game show:
So much work goes into making a show like Summer Game Fest, congratulations to the whole team for a good showing of a lot of games. This show is good for the industry, it’s a great place for studios/publishers to talk about their games while we all watch.
It is worth saying that only on Youtube in just 12 hours Summer Game Fest has more than 2 million views on the official channel of the event.
