Lies of P is an unusual, but very exciting Soulslike offshoot. The story is based on the fairy tale of the wooden puppet Pinocchio, but embedded in a dark gothic-horror-steampunk setting. Fans of hard games fight here against hordes of tough robot opponents.
Release on September 19th, demo already
On Steam, the Korean developers Neowiz Games have announced the release of Lies of P (buy now €59.99) for Tuesday September 19th. The Soulslike game will be released on Steam for Windows PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. The announcement was made as part of the Summer Games Festival that is currently taking place.

In addition to a release date trailer, the developers are also providing a demo for Steam and consoles that includes the first two chapters of Lies of P. However, the demo is only playable from June 8th to June 26th, progress made from this trial version will not be transferred to the full version of the action role-playing game. The demo can be downloaded from the game’s Steam page.

Showcase game for RX-7000 graphics cards
Lies of P is intended to serve as a showcase game for the current AMD graphics card generation RX-7000 (RDNA 3). For the demo, the Newiz games studio recommends an update to the latest AMD driver, or at least the driver version from June 1st.
Since this is a preview version, the developers are asking for feedback via a Google Docs questionnaire. Since the game is still a work in progress, the opinions of the players should be incorporated into the final version. Also, crash reports saved under “LiesofP\Saved\Crashes” can be forwarded to the support team via email to [email protected].
