FC Veres Rivne defender Semyon Vovchenko, who is a graduate of the Zaporizhia football school, shared his thoughts on the team’s upcoming meetings with Metalurh Zaporizhia in transitional matches for a place in the Premier League.
“From the duel with Metalurh Zaporozhye, I expect only victory. Zaporozhye is my native city. Therefore, it will be especially pleasant to play against this opponent. Although, this Metallurg is not the club where I once started my career. It has a different, but its own unique history.
By the way, the upcoming matches will be the first in my playing career against Metalurh Zaporozhye. I follow the game of this team. Firstly, this is a club from his hometown. And secondly, my friend Vladislav Dvorovenko plays for Metallurg. Also, at one time, I played for four years under the guidance of the current head coach of Zaporizhia Vladimir Mikitin.
Regarding the strengths in the opponent’s game, I know that they play well from defense. And we will analyze these details in more detail in theoretical classes.
