NetherRealm Studios revealed the first gameplay for Mortal Kombat 1 during the Summer Game Fest yesterday, revealing interesting details about how the kameo fighters work, the presence of the blind swordsman Kenshi and the playable characters like Johnny Cage. The gameplay video shows that Kano, Sonya Blade, Goro, Stryker and Jax have been confirmed as cameo fighters. These fighters can be summoned during a fight with just a push of a button. According to Mortal Kombat co-founder Ed Boon, they can be brought into combat at virtually any time, even in the middle of a combo. There are also characters available as both cameo fighters and fully playable fighters. This means that you can, for example, match Sub-Zero with Sub-Zero to create unique combinations.
Mortal Kombat 1 will on 19. September 2022 released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
