Enchanted Portals received a new trailer as part of the Summer Future Games Show. In this 2D platform game, you play as Bobby and Penny, two rookie wizards who are stuck between dimensions due to a mishap with a spell book. You can play alone or in two-player co-op, but in any case, you need to be ready for serious challenges.
Created by developer Xixo Games Studio and publisher Perp Games, Enchanted Portals takes you through many stages through unique worlds that the duo will find on their journey through different dimensions.
The game definitely conveys the serious atmosphere of Cuphead, both in the old-school cartoon style and in the movements of the main characters waving wands. It looks like there will be a similar level of difficulty, with multi-stage boss battles in each world.
However, as you progress, you will be able to unlock more spells and techniques, including fire and ice, a magic bubble that can block attacks, and even a broom that you can fly on. Be careful though, as the enemies have a few tricks of their own that can limit your ability to jump or even attack if you’re not careful.
Enchanted Portals is due out for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch in late summer 2023.
