SEGA has made the fans of the Yakuza series happy by announcing the launch date of Like a Dagon Gaiden The Man Who Erased His Name with the new trailer shown at the Summer Game Fest. The Japanese publisher now reserves some news that will not make users willing to buy the game in retail format equally happy.
According to what is reported by some US retailers who have contacted SEGA directly, Like a Dagon Gaiden The Man Who Erased His Name will be released digitally only.
“Hi all. It seems we have been given incorrect information. We have spoken to resellers who have contacted SEGA. Unfortunately we can confirm that There is NO physical ESRB release of Like A Dragon Gaiden. It will be a digital-only title“, reads KamurochoBros twitter on Twitter. The ESRB deals with video games published in the USA, however it is unlikely that such a decision will be limited to the North American market only. In any case, we await a definitive confirmation or a denial official from SEGA. Would you still buy the game if it doesn’t come out in retail version?
