After a long marketing campaign, which led to the discovery of all Pokémon Scarlet and Violet cards – Evolutions in Paldea, finally the new expansion of the Pokémon TCG is available in all newsagents and specialized shops. Here’s what you need to know about the new pocket monster cardgame set.
First of all, with Evolutions in Paldea it will come resumed the theme of Pokémon-ex, already revived with the base set of Scarlet and Violet. These Pokémon are very powerful little monsters, with attacks and effects that are stronger than average and with a higher amount of HP than that of other Pokémon. However, whenever you KO an “ex” opponent you will receive two reward cardsand not just one.
Among the Pokémon-ex of Evolutions in Paldea we have i three starter Quaquaval, Skeledirge from Meowscaradaalong with the two legendaries of the Nefarious Quartet Chien-Pao and Ting-Lu (who are also two of the cover cards in the set) and Pokémon such as Slowking, Forretress and Dedenne, who combine the ex treatment with the Teracristal one, which allows them to change type than usual in Pokémon video games and cardgames.
They also return cards with Artwork rarities and special art styles, which will constitute the variants of the main little monsters of the set. As with any expansion, you can buy Evolutions cards in Paldea in specialized shops and newsstands in the area: the Pokémon of the new expansion will be available in packs of 10 cards e booster boxes of 36 packets each, Star Player Trainer Sets, and Strategy Challenge Kits. In the future, however, Special Collections dedicated to the most iconic Pokémon of the set will also arrive.
