As part of the TUF Gaming AS1000 aluminum case measuring 125.28 × 54.27 × 13.3 mm, a 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSD is installed. The weight of the novelty is 157 grams. Unfortunately, the company’s press release does not state the actual speed and bandwidth of the drive. However, the company says that the device supports read and write speeds up to 10 Gb / s, which may indicate that it is equipped with a USB 3.2 Gen2 port. Thus, the novelty can theoretically provide a bandwidth of up to 1000 MB / s, but this information is not officially confirmed by the manufacturer.
ASUS notes that TUF Gaming AS1000 can withstand immersion in water to a depth of up to a meter. In addition, the external SSD has passed various drop tests and received MIL-STD-810H military standard certification.
ASUS has not announced the official cost of the TUF Gaming AS1000 drive. According to the German edition of ComputerBase, it has already appeared in some local retailers at a price of 135 to 145 euros.
