Homeseek, the post-apocalyptic strategy game from Traptics and The Iterative Collective, has just received a July 20 release date.
As announced at the Future Games Show Summer Showcase, you won’t have to wait long to try and keep a colony of survivors alive in a bleak desert landscape.
In Homeseek, you have to build a home on the Earth of the future, where water resources are running out and the landscape is nothing more than a barren desert. Every drop counts, so you’ll have to make the most of your limited supply by growing crops, creating new technologies, and furnishing a home for your people. Since there are rumors that there is more water elsewhere, you will also have to take risks and travel to discover more fertile lands that promise richer resources.
Every decision you make will affect the lives of civilians, and through constant progress, your influence will remain in every scenario of the campaign. This means that every law you make, every technology you discover, and the people you raise will carry over into every campaign mission, so you really have to weigh your decisions.
In addition, you will have to face other people who are trying their best to survive on the post-apocalyptic Earth. Homeseek has an online multiplayer game where you can find allies and trade or steal and sabotage to survive.
