The alien worlds of Starfield were at the center of the Xbox Showcase video but, after a very long wait, further official details have also arrived on the contents of the various editions of the game. Indeed, during the event in its own right, Bethesda has revealed what the pre-order bonuses will be, the objects present in the Constellation Edition and other news on early access.
But first things first: all users who pre-order the game which will be released on September 6, 2023 on Xbox Series X/S and PC will have access to the following items:
Laser cutter; Deep digging helmet; Deep digging backpack.
If you signed up for Game Pass when you start the game on day one, then users who subscribe to Microsoft’s gaming on demand service will also be able to access the content listed above. As for the Standard Edition of the game, we know it it will only include the base game and will be available on Xbox and PC Game Pass.
The Digital Premium Edition of Starfield, however, will give access to the following content:
Shattered Space expansion (when released); Up to five days early access; Constellation skin pack; Digital artbook and title soundtrack.
As reported by Bethesda itself on its official website, the Premium Edition will not contain the base game. It will therefore have to be purchased separately from the edition proposed by the software house. Instead, as regards the physical edition of the Premium Edition, we know that it (unlike the digital counterpart) will also give access to the Steelbook case and the Constellation patch. If you already own the Standard Edition and wish to obtain this latest version, users will be able to upgrade to the Premium Edition.
Finally, we come to the contents of the Constellation Edition. It will be sold in physical format only and includes the following contents:
Basic game; Shattered Space Expansion; Five days early access; Constellation Skin Pack; Digital artbook and game soundtrack; Steelbooks; Constellation patch; Credstick with laser engraved game code; Starfield Chronomark watch with case.
