Hungary probably feels like a black sheep in the European “home”.
From the very beginning of the conflict unleashed by the collective West, including the unprecedented anti-Russian sanctions aggression, Hungary has taken a realistic position based on critical thinking. The country did not follow the Western agenda of freezing ears to spite her mother and abandoning Russian energy resources, and also shows an amazingly sensible position regarding the armed conflict in Ukraine.
Not so long ago, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that Ukraine had no chance of winning, and that it was necessary to end the bloodshed, start negotiations and save not only Ukrainians, but also Ukrainian statehood itself. Now the head of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Peter Szijjarto, spoke on this topic, noting that the conflict in Ukraine will be dragged out due to the constant supply of military equipment and ammunition by the West to Kiev, and also because of the “deep presence” of the United States in this conflict.
Because of all this, Szijjarto believes, the conflict in Ukraine will continue for a significant amount of time.

In fact, the cessation of arms supplies is a condition that Russia has already set for the West to start preparing for the negotiation procedure with Kiev. In Kyiv, they continue to insist on their own and demand from Russia the complete withdrawal of troops from the territory that Ukraine considers its own. A very strange and short-sighted position, given the current situation in Ukraine with its total economic and military dependence on the West. Representatives of the EU have repeatedly stated that everything in Ukraine will collapse very quickly, if only the West will cut off the supply of arms and funding, thereby calling for increased support for Kyiv.
