At the same time as the announcement of the new PlayStation Plus Premium and Extra games in June, the Sony team offers an interesting update regarding the development of cloud gaming services.
In fact, the Japanese giant confirms that it is conducting various tests aimed at improving gaming services in streaming available on PlayStation 5. The aim of these experiments is to make the use of PS5 games available in the cloud without the need to proceed with the download first complete with the title on your console. In a first stage, the functionality should involve:
Catalog games PlayStation Plus; The games offered in Game Trial;
Digitally owned PS5 games (if supported by the service);
The new feature linked to direct game streaming of PlayStation 5 titles will become available in the near future. For the moment, Sony has not indicated a precise launch window, but has specified that this feature will be reserved exclusive to PlayStation Plus Premium members. The Japanese company confirms that it is still in the early stages of testing the feature and that further updates will come as the debut of the feature approaches.
In parallel, Sony’s top management took the opportunity to announce a large number of initiatives aimed at celebrating the first anniversary of the new PlayStation Plus.
