Set a few years after the original series, the plot of this new spin-off shows how Maggie and Negan must team up to fight their way through zombie-infested Manhattan and rescue little Herschel..
The strong point of the series is the relationship between the two characters, as Maggie can’t help but hold a grudge against Negan for brutally murdering Glenn, even though he later redeemed himself and helped the group.

Because Maggie is still traumatized by Glenn’s death, the character has nightmares about that gruesome moment, showing through flashbacks the scenes that took place in the already distant season 7 of The Walking Dead.
Throughout these sequences, fans have had to suffer again watching Negan sneer with superiority after hitting Glenn’s head with his Lucille bat while Maggie and the other survivors present look on in horror. A scene that is quite similar to what was experienced in the original comics by Robert Kirkman.
In this way, the stage in which Negan was a bad person who played with the hearts of innocent people and made the world his playground by imposing his order so that communities lived “in peace and harmony” is remembered.
