So say goodbye to all the classics that are BioShock games, the entire saga leaving subscriptions. Another game, all the more popular, also says goodbye.
Stray on the go
Hyper popular since its announcement, Stray was the first game launched Day One on the PlayStation Plus Extra; it is also the most played title on the Extra catalog during its first 12 months and the most popular on the service in 2022. Stray is a video game in which the player embodies an adorable ginger cat who, after falling into a city populated by robots, tries to come back to the surface. Released on July 19, 2022, this wandering feline has conquered many players with its pleasant settings to explore, a well-directed story, a worked mystical atmosphere and above all its furry ball of protagonist.
Stray has also managed to get a place at the Game Awards between Elden Ring (GOTY 2022) and God of War: Ragnarok. BlueTwelve Studio, the French behind Stray, won Best Indie Game against Cult of the Lamb, Neon White, SIFU and TUNIC, and also won Best First Indie Game where Neon White, NORCO, Tunic and Vampire Survivors were nominees. With us, it’s a 15/20.
Stray’s main strengths lie in its adorable protagonist and its settings which are a joy to explore. Let’s add to that a nicely conducted narrative and a mystical atmosphere draped with beautiful synthesized melodies. There are still the puzzles, which are often too basic and the frustration of not being able to jump where we want, which prevent the game from reaching its full potential. Stray is nonetheless a very nice experience, perfect for the youngest and quite touching for adults.
