WoW: What if… Illidan and Tyrande were a couple?

WoW Patch 10.1.5 is dedicated to time travel and the Bronze Dragonflight. During a quest at the edge of the aeon, our heroes will be catapulted back in time more than 10,000 years. We must visit an important event in the past and ensure that the true timeline and flow of history is not disrupted.

As part of this daily quest, we land in the age of the night elf empire. The dragons give us an unusual task in the quest “Lovers Under the Stars”. We must end the romance between Illidan and Tyrande. Because someone slipped Illidan a writ with a love poem so he could win the heart of Tyrande. However, the poem in question was penned by Malfurion.

Between two chairs

For Malfurlon, the budding romance between his twin brother and Tyrande is a disaster. He is shy and doesn’t know how to confess his love to Tyrande.

During the quest, we learn that an unknown person leaked Illidan a poem penned by Malfurion. Illidan enchants Tyrande with the Poem and the two meet in the woods of Val’sharah for a Romanesque picnic.

In the end, the moon priestess chose Malfurion. The story didn’t end well for Illidan. After Tyrandes’ rebuff, Illidan showed his true colors for the first time. Rather than pausing and contemplating, Illidan plunged headlong into the next adventure. His cunning and insatiable thirst for power finally led him to the edge of the abyss. The rest is history. Illidan Stormrage changed sides in the War of the Ancients and later made a name for himself as the first demon hunter.

Broken heart

To keep the true timeline intact, we’re helping Malfurion gather Tyrande’s favorite flowers. Then, in the grand finale, we can see Malfurion bringing the flowers to Tyrande and confronting his brother. Tyrande then rebuffs Illidan, which of course enrages Illidan terribly. He then takes his frustration out on Malfurion.

Illidan Stormrage says: Lies!

Tyrande Whisperwind says: Did you write the poem, Illidan?

Illidan Stormrage says: I… No, but I meant every word.

Tyrande Whisperwind says: The flowers are lovely, Malfurion. Would you accompany me for a walk?

Malfurion Stormrage says: It would be my pleasure.

Illidan Stormrage says: I will remember this … brother.
