Ten years ago, the movie Thor: The Dark World was released in all theaters, the second part in which the God of Thunder returned to action. As usual in any Marvel product, at the end he left us with a couple of post credit scenesbut one of them in particular was a bit strange.
Specifically, it deals with the second of the two scenes that came to light, in which we were able to observe the ice beast roaming freely on Earth, but we never heard from this creature again, even giving the impression that it had suddenly ceased to exist. However, the second chapter of secret invasion It has served to know what happened to her.
In the middle of this second episode they tell us that the Skrulls under the orders of Gravik (Kingsley Ben-Adir) are building a machine that will serve to give them superpowers and thus make them unstoppable. More than anything because their objective is to start a world war that allows them to take over the Earth thanks to these improved versions of themselves known as Super Skrulls.
Although Gravik has not yet adopted this form, this character is known from the Marvel comics. In them he has the powers of The Fantastic Four to be able to use any of them at will. However, since none of these superheroes has made an appearance so far, he has opted for use some DNA samples to achieve similar abilities.
It is there when they tell us what happened to the Ice Beast, because precisely one of the four samples that appear briefly in this scene of the chapter corresponds to this creature from Jotumheim. Specifically, these are the samples that the Skrulls have to reach powers similar to those of the Fantastic Four:
Groot DNA Ice Beast DNA Obsidian Carnage DNA Extremis Virus
At least secret invasion has served to unveil this great mystery that had been around for a decade and make it clear that Gravik has all the ballots to become a tremendously fearsome villain in the event that he manages to transform into the powerful Super-Skrull. At the moment the series has premiered so far a total of three chapters of the six in which it will be divided and that will be published weekly.
