Ads time for Limited Run Games. Oltre Tombi – perhaps one of the most loved games by the Italian community, as trivially demonstrated by the numbers that the news registers on social networks – and Clock Tower, LRG announces that it is at work also on Gex Trilogy.
What is it about? Simple: the re-proposition on today’s consoles of the three games dedicated to Gex. From the first – programmed for Panasonic 3DO by Crystal Dynamics e released since 1995 also on PlayStation, Sega Saturn and Windows PC – to the third, Gex: Deep Cover Gecko (1999), passing through Gex: Enter the Gecko (1998).
There aren’t many details at the moment. We know that the company specializing in Limited Edition games usually distributed only digitally – or in nostalgia operations of various types – is working with Square Enix to bring the brand (one of the few left in Japanese hands after the transfer of Crystal Dynamics and Eidos to Embracer) on -almost- all platforms. Gex Trilogy will arrive on PS4 and PS5, on PC via Steam, on Nintendo Switch and on Xbox Series X|S. Excluding Xbox One, for now. Just like for Tombi, also in this case it is a remake that will make use of the Carbon Engine. A publication period has not yet been defined nor a pre-order opening window. Limited Run Games promises news soon.
It’s tail time. #GexIsBack
