Premium Mystery Variants are a new type of reward in Marvel Snap – here’s what they contain and what other ways you can unlock them.
the patch of Marvel Snap of July 11 has brought several important changes to the mobile game store. The main one is the new Featured Chests, a new way to get guaranteed series 4 and 5 cards.
Also, you may have noticed that something new is now appearing in the Daily Deals section of the shop: Premium Mystery Variants, which you get by making 10 purchases in this section of the shop, or buying them for 800 gold.
What do the Premium Mystery Variants include and what are other ways to get them? We tell you about it in this Marvel Snap guide.
Premium variant cards
Premium Mystery variant cards are always “Mystery”. That is, its raison d’être is that it is a random variant. When opening a you can get any Rare or Very Rare variant of the game.
Yes indeed, excluding pixelated variants are excluded from this mystery drop (they are not very popular with players).
Since premium mystery variants cost 800 goldthe operation can go well if we get a Very Rare (which cost 1200 gold) or not so well if we get a Rare (700 gold).
In the end, the math is settled: out of 9 premium mystery variants you open, 6 will be rare and 3 will be very rare.
Naturally, this excludes the ultimate variants, the ones exclusive to the season passes or the new featured variants that you can open in the Featured Chests if you get “repes”.
Ways to Get Premium Mystery Variants
Currently, there are three ways to obtain these premium mystery variants:
Buy them in the Daily Deal shop for 800 gold. You can buy a maximum of 20 of these per week. When you make ten purchases in the daily sale, you will get an extra reward: a premium mystery variant and 2,000 collector tokens
The third way is more crumbly, because you would have to open at least four featured chests each week, and have “exhausted” the four Series 4 or 5 cards of the week. If you continue to open Featured Chests during that week, the previously random card becomes a Premium Mystery Variant.
On the other hand, if you land a series 4 or 5 card that you already had in those chests, you get a new featured variant instead. If you open a chest a second time and get that “repe” card again, you get a premium mystery variant instead.
