In the cinema industry, a sigh of relief should make the rounds. Despite numerous potential blockbusters, sales at the box office were more than meager. Tom Cruise has apparently managed that Hollywood dry spell to end at the box office. But all that glitters is not gold. Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Teil 1 made it around within the first 5 days in the US and Canada $80 million to take A Record start for the series, which is slightly below expectations.
Internationally, the meanwhile seventh part of the agent series was able to do around $155 million import. Solid but not outstanding. Unlike many superhero films, however, Tom Cruise’s blockbusters often have a longer breath at the box office and overflow several weeks stable throughout.
