The leak of Nintendo Switch 2 is causing a lot of discussion, we still don’t know if the leaked images and videos are completely false but certainly there are many clues that would make us opt for the fake. Why? Let’s try to understand together which aspects are not fully convincing.
Let’s start with the packaging undoubtedly very beautiful but identical to that of Nintendo Switch OLED. Furthermore, are we sure that the renderings of the boxes are ready, complete with games from the old Switch? And what about the instruction manual page, in rather broken Italian (certainly translated with Google) and with several spelling and/or stylistic errors, such as the use of the term Joy-con instead of the official Joy-Con nomenclature.
We can then comment on the presence of two versions of the console (Switch 2 e Switch 2 Max) strongly doubting that Nintendo wants to sell two different models at launch, risking creating confusion among consumers. And what about the name? That’s right, that “2” is barely visible…
Shall we talk about Nintendo Switch Max? It looks like a super cool and high-tech product, with a minimal Apple-style design that doesn’t seem to reflect Nintendo’s design philosophy that has always wanted to create resistant and functional products.
We come to the interface, note that when Super Mario Bros Wonder is started, the name of the game is reported as Super Mario Wonder, strange, isn’t it? And then the Joy-Con… do they convince you? Design aside, the layout of the buttons seems to make them really impractical.
And finally, the leak seems too “glossy” in general for us used to stolen photos taken with the Nokia 3310 in a dark warehouse…
