Now the mess in the apartment is not a problem, you can generate a background
Google is rapidly integrating artificial intelligence into almost all products to ensure a seamless user experience. According to 9to5google, Google is testing a new feature for Google Meet that uses artificial intelligence to create a custom video background.
The purpose of this goal is to improve the virtual meeting experience by adding a level of personalization and creativity to video calls. This feature, available to Google Workspace Labs members, allows users to describe the background they want, and AI will create dynamic images based on their descriptions.
This feature was first noticed by Artyom Rusakovsky on Twitter. Users can transform their virtual space with AI-generated backgrounds in a variety of settings, such as luxurious interiors or enchanting forest glades.
By offering personalized environments tailored to individual preferences, this feature enhances the visual appeal of virtual meetings and makes the experience more engaging.
For best results, Google recommends including details about style, mood, setting, and objects in the environment when describing your desired background. Users can repeat and create different patterns until they are satisfied with the result.
According to XDA, this AI-powered background feature is part of Google’s broader effort to improve Google Meet, including recent enhancements such as the introduction of 1080p video resolution, picture-in-picture mode, and various video effects.
The AI Backdrop feature is in testing and is only available to Workspace Labs testers, primarily in the US. When this tool will become available to all Google Meet users remains unclear.
Of course, the very idea of changing the background is not new, but in the past it was done with the help of third-party applications and required certain knowledge and sometimes additional equipment. Now, if this is built into the application, ordinary people who find an important conversation in a place that they don’t want to show will be able to use it.
