07/20/2023 at 08:45 by Norman Wittkopf – GTA 6 has actually already had a big leak, but now a few details have also leaked from a former Rockstar employee. According to this, a legendary weapon that has not appeared in the game series for 14 years could return.
Last year, a big leak to GTA 6 caused a stir, which is known to have come from a hacker who has since been arrested and who was recently assessed as not fit for the court hearing. Now, details of Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated top title have been leaked again, albeit from a former employee who revealed something about his involvement in GTA 6 on career network Linkedin.
In a now-deleted post, game developer Sayan Saha mentioned that he worked as part of the 2D UI team on various GTA projects at Rockstar Games, including Grand Theft Auto 6. For the latter, he reportedly created over 500 2D assets, including “interior prop labels” for items such as a fire extinguisher, chainsaw, electric board, boat engine, and car engine.
GTA 6 with chainsaw
As Gamerant.com reports, the chainsaw could potentially return as a legendary and martial weapon from the series, which players could use for the first time in GTA: Vice City and the last time in Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars from 2009. Since GTA 6 is also supposed to play in Vice City, that would not be unlikely. But given the mention as a “prop”, it is of course also possible that the chainsaw cannot be used as a weapon by the player, but will only appear in some other form. Fans will have to wait until the official announcement of GTA 6 by Rockstar Games for concrete details, which according to the latest rumors could take place in September.
