No one expected it, but this French animated film continues its excellent run and dominates the box office.
Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir (or Miraculous) is a global hit! If this name means nothing to you, it is a French-Korean-Japanese animated series created by Thomas Astruc and produced by Jeremy Zag. It was first broadcast in South Korea on September 1, 2015 before landing on the channel TF1 via TFOU, the youth program. On the strength of its success, it was quickly exported around the world, notably in the United States on Nickelodeon and in Japan. As of 2018 Miraculous, airs on Disney Channel.
This series features two teenagers named Adrian and Marinette which, at the slightest danger that threatens Paris, are transformed into Cat Noir and Ladybug. Their mission is to capture “akumas” that turn the townspeople into villains who wreak havoc. However, even though the two heroes team up together, they don’t know each other’s true identities.
The logical continuation of such a triumphant series is the release of a film. Thus, since July 5 Miraculous: Ladybug and Cat Noir, the film is showing at the cinema.
