A new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 was recently revealed at San Diego Comic-Con. The trailer focuses on the Umgadi faction, who are supposed to be the guards of the royal family, and their absence led to Shao Kahn’s death in this timeline. We see two new faces and a familiar one from the previous game.
In the latest trailer, we see Li Mei, Tanya, and Baraka as the main playable fighters. We last saw Tanya in Mortal Kombat X, but Baraka was a playable fighter in Mortal Kombat 11. Li Mei hasn’t appeared since Mortal Kombat Armageddon, but she did make a cameo appearance in Mortal Kombat 11.
In the trailer, we see that Mileena has not yet become her full Tarkatan form and is suppressing it, which means that we can see a new side of Mileena that we have never seen before, and this can also be a welcome change in history, since she has always been presented to us as one of Kitana’s worst opponents.
Darrius and Goro were also confirmed to be Cameo’s fighters. The latest trailer also gives us a glimpse of Tanya’s Fatality, which is a damn good thing.
Mortal Kombat 1 is set to release on September 14 for PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
