Hearthstone: Patch 27.0 – Balance updates and preparation for TITANS

On August 1st the new Hearthstone expansion TITANS. In preparation for this, the major patch 27.0 will be deployed today (July 25, 2023). The update brings changes for the battlefield mode and the arena, among other things. As usual for an expansion, the reward path will also be reset.

You don’t have to worry about the missed rewards from the past reward path, as all goodies that are not redeemed will be automatically added to your collection.

In-Game Event: Ulduar Grand Championship

Hearthstone: Patch 27.0 – Balance Updates and Preparation for TITANS (3) Source: Blizzard Fight for the favor of the Titans in a special in-game event starting August 3 and celebrate the launch of TITANS! Complete event quests from August 3rd to August 22nd to earn Event XP on the Special Event Reward Path.

Complete the reward path to receive 6 packs (2 standard packs, 1 gold standard pack, 1 Festival of Legends pack and 2 TITANS packs) and a Death Knight hero skin.

Battlefield updates

New quest rewards

Turbulent Tombs: Obtained [einen spezifizierten Diener mit Todesröcheln] on the hand. Your Deathrattle effects will trigger an additional time.Gilnean Warhorn: Gain [einen spezifizierten Diener mit Kampfschrei] on the hand. Your battle cries trigger one more time.

Updates to quest rewards

The following quest rewards are now harder to earn: Endless Blood Moon; Robust splitter; Unstable Poison; Doppelganger Medallion, Hidden Vault. The following quest rewards are now easier to earn: Boom Team; map of the unknown; ice sickle; Blood-Soaked Tome; Snacks good for screaming; leadership scepter; timeline acceleration; ritual dagger; anima bribery; mirror shield.

Changes to hero armor

The following heroes now have less armor:

Cariel Roame now has 6 armor. Chenvaala now has 15 armor at higher ranks and still has 12 armor at lower ranks.

The following heroes now have more armor:

Trade Prince Gallywix now has 8 armor at higher ranks and still has 10 armor at lower ranks.Queen Wagtoggle now has 13 armor at higher ranks and still has 7 armor at lower ranks.

Changes to Servants

Old (normal): Windfury, Divine Shield. Frenzy: Gains Divine Shield.New (normal): Windfury. god shield. Gain Divine Shield the first time this minion survives damage.New (Gold): Windfury. god shield. Gain Divine Shield the first time this minion survives damage.Developer Comment: This is a word change for clarity as this was the only card in Battlegrounds to use the frenzy keyword. There are no functional changes from the normal version, but the golden version is now stronger.

Hero select update

Diablo is no longer in the eligible hero pool.

Change to the map pool

Bloodrib is no longer banned from all map pools. Mo’arg Constructor and Kael’thas Sunstrider are now banned from all map pools. The following cards do not appear in choice sets and cannot be discovered or randomly generated: Akama, Bulwark of Azzinoth, Summoner’s River, and all 11 “Titan” minions.

Arenaupdates

On July 25th, with patch 27.0, all ongoing arena rounds will end and a new arena season will begin. The eligible sets will rotate and these sets will be available in Arena maps:

TITANS reward path

Hearthstone: Patch 27.0 Balance Updates and Preparation for TITANS (2) Source: Blizzard The TITANS Free Reward Path will contain TITANS packs, standard packs, a random Epic card, two random Legendary cards, Tavern entries, a new card back, and lots of Gold! There are also 14 gold cards and the legendary card Ignis, the eternal flame from the set!* When you complete the reward path, you can choose one of 10 returning hero skins.
