God of War Ragnarok concluded the Norse saga that began in 2018 and did so by giving fans many highly epic sequences and unforgettable scenes that made the second journey of Kratos and his son Atreus through the Nine Realms.
Below, we quote you three of the most epic moments of the branded masterpiece Santa Monica Studios per PlayStation 5 e PS4of those that are not easily forgotten:
The first fight between Kratos and Thor
Highly anticipated and dreamed of since the epilogue of God of War 2018the prologue of God of War Ragnarok ends immediately with one of the highest moments of the entire work: the battle between Kratos and Thor in the middle of a frozen field. A clash with a high rate of spectacularity and adrenaline, where the fearsome God of Thunder seems to get the better of the Ghost of Sparta, taunting and mocking him for his performance in combat deemed not up to par. And although the fight ends without a real winner, it is one of the rare times in which Kratos proves that he is in real difficulty and at the mercy of his opponent, thus adding even more drama to the match. The “rematch” between the two in the final stages of the adventure will be equally epic in tone, but the first battle sets the tone for the entire journey, making it immediately special and immersive.
Kratos suona il Gjallarhorn
The event that precedes the start of Ragnarok is perhaps the most evocative of all history. After gathering different peoples of the Nine Kingdoms and forming the army that will attack Asgard for the final battle, a Kratos in the guise of a general is ready to open the dance: after a heartfelt motivational speech as a true leader, the time comes for the Spartan warrior to play the Gjallarhorn which will open the gates of the Kingdom of the Aesir deities and the beginning of the war. And with the portal finally open, it’s time for Kratos and his companions to charge without hesitation, finding themselves in front of the gates of Asgard for the last, decisive siege.
The escape from Asgard and the sacrifice of Freyr
While it is true that perhaps the final phase of Ragnarok is managed a little too quickly for the apocalyptic scope of the event, the fact remains that its conclusion still has a high rate of epicness and involvement, thanks also to the adrenaline-pumping final battle featuring Kratos, Atreus, and Freya face Odin. The most important of the Aesir demonstrates incredible resistance proving to be a dangerous threat, but is finally forced to yield in front of the union of the three warriors, finally being defeated. Ma Ragnarok, the creature that is destroying Asgard, is now out of control and for Kratos and his companions it is time for a daring escape. Finding no other solution to a rapidly escalating situation, Freyr, Freya’s brother, decides to sacrifice his life to facilitate the escape of his allies through the portal, trying to slow down the advance of Ragnarok as much as possible. The sacrifice does not prove to be in vain, Kratos and the others manage to escape in time, and the creature finally razes the entire Kingdom of Asgard to the ground, thus fulfilling the prophecy.
