If the English from Boost have thought about a kit to get rid of the VanMoof home electronics, the concern for spare parts remained. Upway corrects this blind spot with its VanMoof Revive program.
“Since VanMoof’s bankruptcy, we have heard many of their customers worrying about who to turn to if they have a problem with their bike,” said CEO Toussaint Wattinne. “We want to prevent thousands of e-bikes from being thrown away prematurely. »
The electric bike reconditioning specialist is launching this initiative for users whose vehicle is malfunctioning or broken down. Upway offers a diagnosis with quote, then the repair of your Vanmoof within about a month.
How to repair your VanMoof bike with Upway?
For the moment, a form on the official website allows you to register on the waiting list. VanMoof Revive doesn’t start until September 1, 2023, and will have availability restricted to 500 slots at this time. Good news if you are not in France, the program includes Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and even the United States – where Upway is established, in short.

“We expect more demand than available slots,” specifies the French brand. “Slots will be offered in order of registration and their number will be limited as they are subject to the availability of certain spare parts. “These first 500 slots are planned for the next 12 months, adds Upway, without ensuring that new ones will be possible.
After booking a slot, the bike is collected from home and sent to the nearest Upway workshop. Once the machine has been inspected “by a team of qualified mechanics trained by VanMoof technicians”, Upway sends an estimate and the repair begins after validation. Then, the return time of the VAE at home is planned within 4 weeks maximum.
How much does the VanMoof Revive repair cost?
The cost of the diagnosis is 89 euros, “covering the collection, inspection and return of your bike” specifies the brand. You have to add the cost of the spare parts, but not the labor, because offered by Upway.
If the e-bike cannot be repaired, Upway will make a buy-back offer. A way to collect spare parts for other VanMoof users…
