We are talking about the Swedish CV-90, which for some reason is indiscriminately called the best infantry fighting vehicle of our time.
The other day, Russian troops trophied the Swedish CV90 infantry fighting vehicle transferred to Ukraine, which many observers call almost the best in its class. Who determined this, how, by what criteria – all this is not important at the moment; the main thing is that the CV-90 fell into the hands of the RF Armed Forces, after which this BMP will most likely be dismantled to the screw and all its real strengths and weaknesses will be revealed.
German journalist Julian Röpke did not like this alignment at all, recalling that the German military has long criticized the Armed Forces of Ukraine for their dubious tactics, which lead to large losses of equipment. According to Röpke, the Armed Forces of Ukraine made another tactical mistake, as a result of which they actually “gave” the CV90 to Russian troops.
Röpke writes that the CV90, which fell into the hands of Russian troops like a trophy, was captured during an “isolated” combat mission for which it was not intended: the car was ambushed, hit by a grenade launcher, after which the surviving crew left it and hastily retreated, and a Russian team towed her deep into Russian-controlled territory.
As you can see, in the West materials critical of Ukraine and its military command are appearing more and more often, in increasing quantities and with increasingly harsh wording. And, apparently, in Kyiv this is by no means perceived as alarm bells.
