It’s no longer a secret that Rockstar Games is currently developing the newest GTA series – GTA VI. However, unlike the previous series, where the first announcement was our initial information regarding this new series, the leak of the Rockstar server some time ago has eliminated the element of surprise. We already know that he will carry the concept of two protagonists – a man and a woman with a story like the legendary classic Bonnie & Clyde. We’ve even seen an early gameplay concept with unrefined visuals. The question is of course clear now, when will this game be publicly available.
The process of hacking the server and leaking information about GTA VI some time ago was recognized by Rockstar and Take Two Interactive as very unfortunate, but it will not interfere with the existing development process. In fact, it is alleged that GTA VI will launch in a fairly near future – at least in the 2025 fiscal year which runs from April 2024 to March 2025.
GTA VI is believed to be released between April 2024 – March 2025.
Where did this speculation come from? From the financial predictions thrown by the CEO of Take Two Interactive – Strauss Zelnick. He said that Take Two predicts a jump in the company’s profits in the upcoming 2025 fiscal year, from “only” USD 5.5 billion to USD 8 billion or an increase of around USD 2.5 billion. Even though it was not stated where the source of the revenue came from, it seems rational to predict that it will come from game sales with super high hype which currently only GTA VI can fill. The strongest prediction itself points to the release window at the end of 2024, between September – October.
But of course, all of this is still in the status of rumors and speculation until Rockstar Games itself speaks up and officially opens the information about the release of GTA VI. What do you think? Optimistic that GTA VI will be released in that period?
