More than four years after restarting the development of Metroid Prime 4 and the assignment of the reins of the project to the team of Retro Studiosthe well-known journalist and gaming insider Nick Baker seems to have interesting anticipations.
In a new episode of the famous format XboxEra Podcast, the co-founder of XboxEra has in fact claimed to have had the opportunity to talk to someone who has already seen Metroid Prime 4 in action. Obviously, the insider – also known as Shpeshal Nick on social media – did not reveal the identity of his sources, but he said he was genuinely enthusiastic about what he learned.
In particular, Nick Baker has stated that the title of Retro Studios it will probably not be open worlddespite having big ambitions. In particular, the sources of him refer to very large macro-areasto be explored freely. The grandeur of the setting of Metroid Prime 4, continues the insider, would recall – at the first impact level – the effect aroused by the world of Halo: Infinite. Unfortunately, the Xbox Era signing did not want to offer further ideas, but has repeatedly stated that he is really excited about what he recently learned about the production Nintendo.
At the moment, as widely known, the Retro Studios game does not have a precise launch window, to the point that some rumors would like Metroid Prime 4 arriving directly on Nintendo Switch 2. Between one rumor and another, there was even hypothesis about a new 2D Metroid game, entrusted to MercurySteam.
