By now the new expansion of the Pokémon TCG, Burning Obsidian, is in the pipeline in all specialized shops and on newsstands: the release of the set, in fact, is scheduled for August 11th. While we await the release of the expansion, The Pokémon Company has unveiled i bonus for buying Burning Obsidian in some partner shops.
In this round, anyone who purchases any Burning Obsidian products will receive two promo cards dedicated to Espeon and Umbreon, both from the same set but with a different card code from the counterparts that are part of the official cardlist of the expansion. Furthermore, both monsters will enjoy the reverse holo treatment.
Unfortunately, for now the two cards are only confirmed for US, UK UnitedCanada and Australia, where they can be obtained at GameStop, Best Buy and EB Games stores. Considering that, of the three chains, GameStop is the only one also active in Europe, it is reasonable to expect that Umbreon and Espeon promo will also be distributed (sooner or later) in the Old World through the videogame retailer’s shops.
According to the promotion details on the US Pokémon TCG website, you will need to receive the two promo cards spend at least 15 Dollars on Pokémon products of Burning Obsidian. In Europe, the requirements to access the promotion may be the same. Moreover, the only reseller that has released official materials in this regard is GameStop USA, which has published a banner that shows (in low resolution, however) only the Umbreon card.
