A few hours ago Hironobu Sakaguchi, father of the Final Fantasy saga, published a tweet on his profile in which, celebrating the end of his game of Final Fantasy 16also called it the “definitive Final Fantasy”.
The sixteenth episode of the saga was perhaps one of the most divisive in recent years: despite the success of audiences and critics and the PS5 sales considered “extremely strong” by Square-Enix, there are some aspects, first of all the declared action componentwhich have created a certain rift in the opinions of the fanbase.
Sakaguchi’s comment has in itself a double effect, that of silencing souls once and for all and at the same time rekindling them in the blink of an eye. For the creator of the saga, Final Fantasy 16 is the Final Fantasy par excellence and thus embodies the spirit of the series.
This wonderful compliment to the work of Creative Business Unit 3, which had already managed to conquer Sakaguchi with Final Fantasy XIV, is echoed by the comments of the fans under the post, who profess all their love for the sixteenth final fantasy and suggest you try it at least once.
Meanwhile, it is being discussed whether or not the development team is working on possible DLCs and expansions for Final Fantasy 16. In the event, it cannot be excluded that Sakaguchi will be in the front row to try them.
