Today, the opening match of the 33rd European Women’s Volleyball Championship took place in Verona, Italy. Interestingly, the match between Italy and Romania (Group B) took place outdoors in the arena of the ancient amphitheater located in the city center, in the presence of more than 8,000 spectators.
The favorites of the fight, of course, were the hostesses of the site, who are the current champions of the continent. And during the entire meeting, the Italians proved that they are clearly stronger, winning in all three sets.
