iPhone 15 also supported
Photo accessories company Moment today announced the launch of third-generation lenses for the Apple iPhone 13 and newer models (including the upcoming iPhone 15). Compatible cases are required to use them.
Moment is releasing new lenses for the iPhone for the first time since 2017, when the iPhone 7 arrived. Here are all the new models, their features, and prices:
Anamorphic 1.33x ($150) – Designed to give a cinematic look to iPhone videos. There are options with gold and blue anamorphic reflections. The golden glow provides rich golden tones, while the blue creates the effect of shooting in the early 60s. The 1.33x lens produces photos and videos with the least distortion. Anamorphic 1.55x ($150) – Both anamorphic lenses feature a three-element design for better performance in low light conditions. The 1.55x lens provides the most dramatic effect for shooting video. 58mm telephoto lens ($150) – 2x optical zoom, can be used with Apple’s built-in telephoto lens on Apple’s iPhone Pro. It supports 4x magnification with the Moment software. 18mm wide-angle lens ($130) – Offers the same angle of view as an “iPhone” ultra-wide-angle camera, but with less distortion. It can be combined with an ultra wide-angle camera for more distant shots. The 14mm Fisheye ($120) is an ultra wide-angle lens with a 200-degree field of view. It can use the full potential of the new iPhone’s image sensor without vignetting or dark corners. It’s a fisheye lens, so of course it introduces some distortion. 10x macro lens ($120) – can take close-up images of small objects as close as one inch. It is combined with wide-angle for improved texture and detail over native iPhone macro.
Moment offers cases for the latest iPhones and also plans to support the iPhone 15 when it launches. Pre-orders are available with an iPhone 15 case that will ship after the new iPhones launch. The company is offering up to $50 credit to owners of previous Moment products.
The T-series lenses can be ordered from the Moment website, orders will ship from September 7th.
