A few months after the official release of Sons of the Forest in Early Access on Steam, the developers continue to release regular updates for the survival title. In addition to numerous bug fixes, the latest patch 09 brings a new trap, a new endgame opponent and another cannibal variant into play.
Radio alarm trap, QoL improvements and various bug fixes
The update, which has been available for download on Steam since August 17, 2023, includes the following new features:
Radio Alert Trap (notifies you when enemies are approaching)Creepy enemies now explode into pieces.Players can also undock and place radios that their character is holding.A returning Creepy enemy has been added to the endgame. A new large female cannibal type has been added. There is a new option in the Controls menu that allows players to adjust the speed of the camera in the inventory. Players can now press a button to keep individual blueprints active while placing schematics, so as not to have to repeat each blueprint each time having to look for the blueprint in the menu.
In addition, the developers have made a whole bunch of gameplay improvements. Among other things, players can now open loot bags even if their inventory is already full in terms of individual items from the bag. The excess items will then drop.
