Something that has already become a habit around these dates is that the Game Science team makes an announcement related to the expected and promising Black Myth: Wukong. On August 20, 2020, its official announcement took place, a year later we were able to see a gameplay with Unreal Engine 5 and last year it left us with another spectacular cinematic and one more video of this Action RPG.
Following the same rhythm, this time IGN has been given the opportunity to test a preview of the game, which has served for the portal to leave us with a complete gameplay of almost seven minutes duration. In it we can see the fight against several final bosses in which some of the main characteristics of the gameplay are reviewed.
The confrontations against these powerful enemies are from less to more considerably in terms of difficulty and each one is a completely unique fight. Of course, it is seen that the comparisons with Dark Souls are not an exaggeration, because the person responsible for the video admits it, to the point of acknowledging that the last final boss of this test version took him an hour to defeat.
Our protagonist, the Monkey King, will have three different postures with their own combat styles, but what will be identical for all of them is that a cane will always be used to deliver some good blows. In addition, all this will be accompanied by dozens of skills that can be learned on the go.
What remains a mystery is its release date, which at the moment is known to go on sale sometime in the summer of 2024 for PC and next-generation consoles, so hopefully it will also reach PS5 and Xbox Series X / S.
