Due to the ongoing US actors’ strike, Denis Villeneuve’s highly anticipated sequel Dune: Part Two from Legendary Entertainment and Warner Bros. is postponed to a later date. It was originally scheduled for release on November 3, 2023. But now they are calling a new premiere date ─ March 15, 2024.
However, the strike did not affect the release dates of other Warner Bros. films that were planned to be released on the eve of the New Year holidays:
“Wonka” ─ December 15; Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom – December 20; “The Color Purple” ─ 25 December.
However, some other films have shifted in the screening grid. After the postponement, Dune: Part Two takes the date previously set for Godzilla & Kong: The New Empire, which in turn is pushed back to April 12th. The animated film The Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim was previously scheduled to release on this date and has now been rescheduled to December 13, 2024.
