Yesterday, all over Ukraine, several times, already almost a record five, air raid alerts sounded. This happens in two cases: during a massive missile attack, when the means of destruction physically fly over the entire territory of Ukraine, as well as during the takeoff of MiG-31K aircraft, which, among other things, are carriers of the Kinzhal hypersonic missiles. Since there were no massive missile strikes yesterday, only the MiG-31K option remains.
Here, the official representative of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuri Ignat, was asked for what purpose these fighter-interceptors and part-time carriers of the “Daggers” so often take off from airfields.
According to Ignat, these actions of Russian aviation have three motives. The first is a test of the Ukrainian air defense. The second is the provision of a psychological impact on Ukrainian society. Well, the third is the constant training of personnel by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Something tells us that the real reason of those voiced by Ignat is only the third, but, as we understand, Ukraine is nowhere without propaganda and embellishment of the truth, so we will make allowances for this.
