S August 28 to September 16 four countries – Italy, Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Israel – will host the European Men’s Volleyball Championship. 24 teams made it to the final tournament, including Ukraine. At the first stage, they are divided into 4 groups of 6 teams. Wards Ugis Krastins will perform in the Bulgarian city of Varna in group B, where their rivals will be the teams of Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Finland and Spain.
The European Championship formula is the same as for women. After the matches in the groups, the fight will continue with the four best teams that advance to the 1/8 finals. Next will go to the elimination games – the quarter-finals, semi-finals, finals and a duel for 3rd place.
