Last week at Gamescom 2023 we were able to get an idea of the reboot of the Mortal Kombat series. Hardly any beat ’em up has shaped the genre more than the bloody exchange of blows between Liu Kang, Johnny Cage and Co. This looks very promising at this point and could actually be another highlight this year alongside Street Fighter 6. In order to get the fans in the right mood for the spectacle, they came up with something that is now common practice: a live action trailer! And in this one we see none other than wrestling legend and Hollywood star Dave Bautista. But that wasn’t the best news, because the release date was also brought forward by five days.
