With the release of patch 4.1 at the end of September, Genshin Impact will introduce new territories, one of which will be the Meropid Fortress, the famous underwater prison for the criminals of Fontaine. The manager in it is the announced character Risley, and insiders told how his acquaintance with the Traveler will go.
It became known that there are at least two ways to get into the fortress: the passage inside will open on the roof of the Epikles Opera House and will probably become a civilized way to visit the institution.
The second path will most likely lead the Traveler to jail – underwater, the space near the walls of the building is illuminated by spotlights, and if caught under the light, the character will be instantly taken inside. Worse than imprisonment will be the chains of world quests in the fortress – at least 16 quests related to the inhabitants of the prison are known.
By completing missions, the Traveler will earn a special currency, for which they will sell mission items, rare tools and jewelry, as well as new recipes. In addition, insiders said that it will be possible to go to a licensed canteen every day and receive prison rations.
